About Narrative Therapy

Where Conversations Spark Transformations

How I Approach Our Work Together

a collaborative space to reflect and realign

Using the principles of narrative therapy, I help clients get some distance from the problems in their lives so they can see things from a new angle.

With that space, new possibilities begin to emerge—and what truly matters right now comes into clearer focus.

In our work together, we’ll explore the stories you hold about yourself and your life—especially the ones shaped by guilt, anxiety, doubt, anxiety, fear, or insecurity.

Often, these problem-saturated stories are so loud they drown out the others—the ones about your strength, resilience, skills, and wisdom. Together, we’ll gently turn up the volume on those quieter truths and begin shaping new beliefs that align more closely with how you want to live your life.

I know you are capable of incredible things. Helping my clients unearth their awesomeness in new ways is one of the greatest honors of my life.

A Little More About Narrative Therapy…

What’s your story?

Narrative therapy is more than a modality — it’s a philosophy rooted in respect, curiosity, and empowerment.

Here are some main principles that resonate deeply with me:

  • You are the expert on your life. It’s not my job to give advice or tell you what to do. It is my job to ask meaningful questions that illuminate the knowing you already have within.

  • You are not the problem, or problems. The problem is the problem — and we’ll explore them together.

  • We live by the stories we tell ourselves. Those stories shape our identity, our relationships, and our possibilities.

  • Many of our stories come from others. Family, culture, media, and past experiences influence how we see ourselves — often in ways that don’t serve us.

  • There are always other stories. Even when negative narratives dominate, there are always stories of strength, resilience, and wisdom waiting to be discovered.

  • Re-authoring your story brings freedom. When you give voice to the deeper truths of who you are, the old stories lose their grip and power.

And above all — new stories are always possible. Even in the hardest seasons.
